More than 50 FREE programs were available throughout Bike Expo New York.  See below for a few highlights!

Bike Expo New York presented by Eastern Mountain Sports is loaded with fun programming and interesting talks throughout the three day event.  Check out the highlights below!

BMX Action Sports Showcase The Bike New York Action Sports Showcase featured a King of New York® Mini-jam and Stunt Team performances together with the Animal Bikes team.  During the BMX Flatland events, riders linked various front wheel, back wheel, and bike flipping and spinning tricks together on the ground.
Be Chic, BE NY Fashion Show presented by Momentum Magazine. The hottest looks for summer riding!  New York bike style rides the runway at the BE Chic, BE NY Fashion Show presented by Momentum Magazine.  Check out the latest and greatest functional clothing, bikes and accessories for riding in style.
Bike New York Learn to Ride Classes Bike New York offered its free signature Learn to Ride classes for youth and adults throughout BE NY.
The Enlightened Cyclist For most of us, our commute is the only part of our day during which it’s perfectly normal to confront anger, hostility, danger, and even death–especially if we ride a bike. Why is this? What can we do about it? And how can we transform the most frustrating part of our day into the most transcendent? Blogger and author Bike Snob NYC will explore these questions and more with humor and irreverence that is tempered by his love for cycling.
Street Screenings   Founded in 2006, Streetfilms is the go-to producer for films about bicycling and sustainable transportation, with a videography of 450 short films that have inspired action and change worldwide. Streetfilms will showcase a selection of videos from Streetfilms’ collection and discuss how to make NYC a world-class biking city. Streetfilms is a program of OpenPlans, a 501c3 non-profit. KiwiSweat Pump your pedals against the beautiful backdrop of the Manhattan Bridge!  KiwiSweat will be hosting spin classes on the BE NY’s exclusive outdoor terrace overlooking the East River.  KiwiSweat is a pop-up fitness company that showcases amazing instructors, unique locations, and amazing musicians and DJs to transform the ho-hum workout routine into a premier fitness experience.  Now’s your chance to try KiwiSweat!  Sign ups begin April 20th at 8:00am.  To sign up, visit www.kiwisweat.com and click on “Schedule/Reserve”.  Class participants will be riding Livestrong bikes sponsored by Pedal NYC (www.pedalnyc.com).
