Feedback
"This new [Bike Driver's Ed] program is a wonderful opportunity for students to learn more than simply sitting on a bike and pedaling! It will give them the tools they need to go out and exercise safely, while exploring their surroundings and benefiting from a lifetime activity that can stay with them for years to come. Who knows, we may inspire the next Lance Armstrong!"--Wayside Elementary teacher, Ocean Township, NJ, Fall 2009

"I am happy to report that Fanwood's 1st Annual Training Wheel Toss was a smashing success!! Fortunately for us, the weather held and it turned out to be a nice day. . . . We had close to 65 kids participate in the program and all but 6-8 learned to ride in one day! In fact, there wasn't a single scraped knee. . . . Everyone (parents, kids, volunteers, the mayor) was simply astonished at the turnout and results. We actually had one kid up and riding without training wheels in less than 20 minutes. Remarkable! There were so many success stories, which makes it all worth it. I'm so happy that I brought this program to Fanwood, but couldn't have done it without the support of Bike New York."--Fanwood Recreation Committee, NJ, March 2009

"The kids absolutely love [Bike Driver's Ed]!!!! They are telling me that this is the best unit ever . . . and I am talking about kids who do not usually enjoy physical education. The news is spreading because other students have been asking why biking is not offered during their phys. ed. period."--PE teacher from Long Island, April 2009

"I have never walked out of a workshop with so much useful information."--PE teacher from Connecticut, April 2009 Bike Driver's Ed Training

"The event was great! We had about 75 kids come out to "learn to ride." We set up exactly as you described it and managed with about 10 people between our department, the police, and the teachers. . . . I think it has really been a big hit with the community. Thank you for all your help in organizing us!"--Assistant recreation director from New Jersey, April 2009

"I attended the February 2008 NJAPHERD convention and your bicycle workshop. Your technique is so simple--most of our school has learned. Thank you again for being instrumental in helping my special guys/girls acquire a lifetime recreational activity, improve their self-esteem, social skills, and community awareness."--Adapted PE teacher, The Forum School, Waldwick, NJ, September 2008
