    (New York – Feb. 6, 2013) Bike New York today announced Specialized as the latest exhibitor at this year’s Bike Expo New York (BE NY). Located at Basketball City on Pier 36 (along South St. at Montgomery St., Manhattan, NYC), BE NY will take place the two days before the 36th annual TD Five Boro Bike Tour presented by REI, the largest bicycling event in the nation – May 3 (10 a.m. – 8 p.m.) and 4 (9 a.m. – 7 p.m.). Bike Expo New York is free and open to the public. Proceeds from BE NY and the Tour fund Bike New York’s free education programs for youth and adults throughout the five boroughs.

Held annually on the first Sunday in May, the TD Five Boro Bike Tour presented by REI offers 32,000 cyclists a chance to ride 40 miles of traffic-free streets through all five boroughs, introducing riders to a unique perspective of the sights and sounds of New York City.

    Bike New York has partnered with onPeak to provide hotel accommodation services for the 2013 TD Five Boro Bike Tour and Bike Expo New York (BE NY). When TD Five Boro Bike Tour registration opens Jan. 22 at 12pm (noon) EST, official hotel options through onPeak will be incorporated into the registration process, giving out-of-town visitors a wide variety of accommodations with competitive rates at convenient locations throughout the city.
