Discover Hudson Valley cyclists were treated to a stunning panorama of the Catskills--just one of many amazing sights on the ride.

All routes, from 15 to 100 miles, crossed the Walkway over the Hudson, one of the best and most anticipated highlights of the ride.

Some cyclists had the opportunity to meet Fred Schaeffer, chairman of the Walkway over the Hudson, and the main driving force behind making the walkway project happen. Fun fact: Schaeffer is also an avid cyclist!

Cyclists and pedestrians happily shared the Walkway over the Hudson--we reminded cyclists to go slow and yeild to pedestrians.

Presenting sponsor Zipcar added some fun to the festival at Dutchess Community College.

Bike New York's friendly volunteers were there to do everything from setting up, to helping decipher maps and cue sheets, to serving food at rest areas.

The weather was perfect for this year's Discover Hudson Valley Ride on June 26, 2011. Cyclists enjoyed comfortable temperatures, great roads, and fabulous views--not to mention helpful volunteer marshals to assist along the way!

Dutchess County Tourism and Dutchess Community College were a huge help--we couldn't have produced the ride without them!

Cyclists had the opportunity to participate in a Class on Wheels led by Bike New York's education operations director, Emilia Crotty. (The students were wearing vests so Emilia could keep track of them on the route).

At the end of the day, everyone was exhausted, but it was the good kind of tired.
