  • Completely new routes for 2010, with less elevation gain

The shorter rides are perfect for families with children, beginning cyclists, and those who are looking for a fun ride that's not too strenuous. The 55-, 75-, and 100-mile choices require more effort. Routes >

After the ride, we welcome everyone back to town with a Festival full of activities for cyclists and area residents alike: food, music, and more. Plus, everyone gets to cool off in the town pool!

The day before the ride, we are offering different rides for those who are in the area or who wish to make a weekend trip. Ride choices vary from 25 to 75 miles. Saturday Activities >

The Harlem Valley Rail Ride is produced by Bike New York in association with the Harlem Valley Rail Trail Association.

Rider Feedback

It was a really amazing ride! Definitely one of the hardest 100 miles ever! It was unbelievable! And there were hills upon hills upon hills, but it was just awesome. It was one of the best rides ever. The views were incredible. Saw a ton of horses, cows, barns, fields, all very impressive for a Brooklyn kid. Thanks to Bike New York for putting on a great ride, very well organized.

Just wanted to thank you for an incredible ride today. Not crazy about the hills, but the challenge was worth it. I found my new snack at rest stops, peanut butter and jelly. Wow, didn't know it was that good. LOL. Thanks again. See you for the Twin Lights Ride in September.

Great job by you and all of your volunteers. Thanks for putting it all together. I can't wait for next year.
-SM, 75-mile route

As advertised, the ride was pleasant from start to finish. Registration was instantaneous, your staff was fine, beautiful countryside rounds out the experience. In a way I hope the word doesn't spread too much and crowd the rode. Looking forward to next year.
-BT, 30-mile route

Compliments to you all for arranging such a lovely event. We had a wonderful time and plan to attend again next year. Thank you so much.
